About
Annotide is made by R Squared Data Solutions, a Finnish sole trader (toiminimi), business ID 3544515-7. It is a small, independent company, not a funded startup: Annotide is software you and your own annotators run, and we don’t sell annotation services on top of it.
What we believe
Section titled “What we believe”Your data stays yours. Annotide runs in your own cloud or on your own servers and reads media straight from your own object storage. It never copies your images, video, audio or documents, and there is no hosted version for them to end up in.
Prices you can read. Every edition has a published per-seat price, from the free Community edition (up to three users, commercial use included) to Business with single sign-on and quality control. No usage-based units, and no sales call to find out what it costs. See Pricing.
Bring your own models. Pre-labelling and active learning call model endpoints you already run, with your own credentials. Annotide never trains or hosts a model for you.
Open where it counts. The source is public on GitHub under the Elastic License 2.0; the Python SDK, CLI and MCP server are Apache-2.0. See the licence.
Is a small vendor right for you?
Section titled “Is a small vendor right for you?”Honestly: it depends. A small vendor means you deal directly with the people who build the product, and the licence check never depends on reaching our servers for the software to keep working. It also means there is no large support organisation behind it. Annotide compared sets out the trade-offs against the bigger names, and support plans with an SLA are available if you need one.
